The most important way for children to get all of the nutrients they need, is through

eating a good diet, balanced with all the great tasting foods. They should beprovided

with foods from a variety of. food groups, and meals should be prepared that work together to provide your children all the right nutrients. They need fresh fruits, vegetables, lean

meats, fish, whole grains, milk, cheese, and other things to stay healthy.

Some kids jump at the chance to devour all of the food groups in the right quantity, but certainly not all

getting the correct amount of Vitamin C in their daily diets. It is also important for the immune system

to function as it should to keep a young one healthy, and for building connective tissue. It also blocks free radicals, and is

necessary for the brain to think as well.

B complex vitamins have many functions, and some are involved in the metabolism of carbohydrates. If a child eats a diet high in sugar and starch, they may lack B vitamins.

A good numberprofessionals believe that lots of nutrients have been taken out of the

soil, so they are also missing in fruits and vegetables as well. Calcium and magnesium are important in

order  to build strong bones, zinc is fantastic for the immune system, and chromium helps in carbohydrate metabolism.

For most children, high quality childrens vitamins, along with omega three  essential fatty

acids, is a good idea to take daily. If a child has health concerns, they may need a different

type of vitamin, so find out from your doctor first.

When you get chewable vitamins for children, be sure that they are purchased from a nutrition or health store. They come in the

form of liquid, capsules, and tablets as well. If a family takes the proper vitamins for women, men and children, then the whole family will live a healthier life.
