Hawaiian Vacations are generally great fun and suitable for all the family. Nobody will be bored, and when deciding where to go for your next vacation, Hawaii should be high on your list. Clothes: Hawaii can be warm, but it can also be cool and rainy, so don’t just pack shorts, t-shirts and flip-flops. You should also include something warm, and also pants and socks. Swimming gear is essential along with a beach towel, and sunscreen is a must. There are few formal events so leave the suit, but you might be glad of some form of warm jacket and even a cool shirt to cover your shoulders and arms.
Things to do: You might wonder why you need to take things to do when you are visiting a spectacular destination like Hawaii. Well, you might decide that you want to go to the beach and just laze around reading a book. You might also get stuck indoors with bad weather and want a game to play. Kids will definitely need some activities for long car rides or other times when they might be bored.
Camera: this is a must! You don’t go all the way to Hawaii without a camera. The islands have a lot of natural beauty to offer, and a video camera will also be useful to record all these volcanoes, fabulous waterfalls and of course the family. You can’t forget them! Make sure to have some extra batteries or a charger, and an empty memory card for your camera. Unless yours needs a film spool or video cassette!
Travelers Checks: It is always safer to carry around travelers check instead of money. Be sure to get this sorted out before you leave on the plane. The last thing you want to do is have your vacation ruined because you somehow lost, or misplaced, your money.
Gone Fishing: If you want to ensure that you have fun in Hawaii you’ll probably want to take advantage of the fabulous diving and fishing there. Be sure to take your scuba or snorkeling equipment along with you. But if this is more than you want to carry with you to Hawaii, you can rent this equipment while there.
That is by no means a full list of what people take on their Hawaiian vacations of course, and you will obviously have more, such as the insect repellant and antihistamine, so make a list so that you won’t leave anything out when packing.
